Dr. Yashar Ghoreshi
Dr. Yashar Ghoreshi graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Chemistry. He then furthered his education by earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2012 from one of the most prestigious chiropractic colleges, Life University in Marietta, GA.Dr. Ghoreshi went on to complete his internship at Planet Chiropractic in Romeoville, IL, and worked closely with Dr. Charles Major, who was a respected and influential mentor to many doctors and co-author of The Cancer Killer: the Cause is the Cure.
Dr. Ghoreshi has completed over 250 hours of continued education in functional medicine from Functional Medicine University, covering a wide range of topics includingthe nutritional approach for changing brain chemistry, advanced blood chemistry analysis, thyroid gland disorders, endocrine disorders, and genetics. Dr. Ghoreshi has also completed his certification in Science Based Nutrition™ which is the treatment of disease using alternative natural care including dietary modification, vitamin, and nutrient supplementation.
Dr. Ghoreshi recognizes the importance of the relationship between the health of our brain and nervous system and its effect on the health of our body. Dr. Ghoreshi’s mission is to restore patients to their optimal health and functionality in the shortest time possible and to address disorders of nutrition, chemical imbalances, and musculoskeletal pain. In order to achieve this mission, Dr. Ghoreshi utilizes the most beneficial, up-to-date chiropractic techniques, including spinal decompression therapy, applied kinesiology, state-of-the-art physiotherapy modalities, and adaptation of functional medicine treatments.
Understanding the need for multi-modal therapy, Dr. Ghoreshi works closely with medical doctors and physical therapists to create multi-disciplinary, integrative treatment plans for every patient’s needs. Not only is Dr. Ghoreshi passionate about serving his community in Chicago, but he was able to expand this passion in 2013 where he served underprivileged families in El Salvador by providing adjustments.In his free time, Dr. Ghoreshi enjoys playing sports, rock climbing, skiing, practicing yoga, and spending time with friends and family.
Kyleigh Kirbach, MD, MS, RDN
Kyleigh is a Physician and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a focus on holistic healing that focuses on the totality of a person’s mind, body, and spirit. She earned her master’s degree in medical dietetics from Saint Louis University and completed a 1200-hour dietetic internship where she gained hands-on experience in a variety of clinical settings. She went on to work in clinical research for Dr. Samuel Klein, Director of the Center for Human Nutrition and Chief of the Division of Nutritional Science and Obesity Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Klein is an internationally recognized leader in obesity and metabolism research. There, she was the lead dietitian for complex clinical trials studying the impact of nutrition and lifestyle on metabolic processes that lead to obesity, diabetes, liver disease, and cognitive impairment.
Kyleigh also saw patients privately for a range of reasons including weight loss, diabetes management, gastrointestinal issues, allergies, disordered eating, and autoimmune disorders. After seeing the significant shifts in her clients’ health by changing lifestyle alone, Kyleigh decided to pursue her doctorate in medicine from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. During medical school, Kyleigh served as the President for the Holistic, Integrative, and Lifestyle Medicine Student Interest Group and was awarded the Donald A. Pegg Student Leadership Award from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine for her commitment to training lifestyle-minded physicians.
Kyleigh has additional training in Adult Weight Management, Positive Psychology, the Diabetes Prevention Program, Lifestyle Medicine, Trauma-Informed Nutrition Education, Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique (NEAT), Reiki, and various styles of meditation. She intentionally integrates her broad training and intuitive senses to provide a truly unique experience that fosters transformation of the mind, body, and spirit.
Samantha Heumann, Health Coach
Samantha has a degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is a certified integrative health coach from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She has a background in corporate wellness and group fitness (Barre certified), teaching exercise classes and leading wellness retreats over the past 5 years. As a health coach, Sam provides support, education, and accountability in developing a framework for you to lead a healthier life with a focus on mindfulness, nutrition, and fitness, Through life’s constant changes, Sam is here to help you prioritize your health in order to think, feel, and perform at your highest level. She takes an individualized approach to help you uncover causes and connections across different areas of your life that may be affecting your energy, sleep, stress management, and overall well-being. When she’s not working, Sam loves to travel to tropical climates, try new wellness classes, and attempt raw dessert recipes.
